The Albatross opened in February 2006. Since Opening it has been very popular with backpackers staying from all over the world with many different backgrounds.
The building is approximately 150 years old and was previously a bank. It still retains a lot of the old features, which add to the charm when staying at the Albatross.

The hostel is located in the heart of Newcastle city centre, just a 2 minute walk from Central Station and a 20 minute drive from Newcastle Airport. We offer individual beds up to full dorms and female only dorms – whatever your needs, we can cater for any party. Offering exceptional value for money, the Albatross is the place to stay in Newcastle.
